Sandra Bullock Bids Farewell to Her Longtime Partner
Actress Sandra Bullock has said goodbye to her life partner, Bryan Randall, after he suffered a three-year private battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Randall’s family released a statement to the media on Monday, 7 August, in which they announced that the 57-year-old photographer had passed away peacefully two days prior.
“We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours,” his family said.
Bullock’s sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, took to Instagram on the same day to praise her sibling for looking after Randall during his final years, revealing that the 59-year-old actress was by his side when he passed away after eight years together.
“ALS is a cruel disease, but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home,” Bullock-Prado said in the caption of a photo of Randall smiling at the camera.
Although the two never married, Bullock was fiercely devoted to her partner, declaring him the “love of her life” during an interview two years ago.
